This terrific cocktail bar, tucked away just off Avenue Louise, is not to be missed. The environment is relaxed, the service is excellent and the extensive menu features one of the best margaritas in the city. There’s also a menu of light bites that includes bruschetta and a cheese board. It’s an intimate spot with a parlour-type vibe, so booking is essential.

Belgian Royal Palace and Park
Although this is the official palace of the King and Queen of the Belgians, it’s not actually used as the royal residence and instead the stunning gardens and park are open all year around for members of the public to enjoy for free. From July to September, you can also buy tickets.

In this quaint toy shop set in the heart of the city, teddy bears, dolls, little trains, rocking horses, soldier figurines invite you and your children to join them in a world of imagination. Founded in 1959, the shop is still family-owned and run and has everything from vintage teddies to sustainable wooden toys.

The Grand Place, or Grote Markt, is a central square bustling with shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s surrounded by opulent Baroque buildings including the former Guilds of Brussels, the Town Hall and the Brussels City Museum – which incidentally is also worth a visit.
