The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 list, powered by WorkL, celebrates companies that prioritise initiatives to maintain and improve their teams’ physical and mental health, from thoughtfully designed office spaces to values-driven business practices. This year’s list highlights the importance of engaging and supporting the youngest generation of workers.

Analysis by WorkL of 70,000 organisations found that Gen Z employees, aged 27 and under, are the least satisfied group, with 29% looking to leave their current roles. The pandemic’s remote work challenges and the cost-of-living crisis have taken a toll on young people’s mental health and ability to build connections at work.

However, the companies featured in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 are bucking this trend. The average engagement score for those under 34 at these exemplary workplaces was 81.1% – significantly higher than the 69.4% average for that age group across WorkL’s broader data set.

From Scotland to the south of England, and across the sea to Northern Ireland and mainland Europe, every Clockwise location is brought to life by its people. The Clockwise team make its spaces great – from a welcoming morning greeting to a helping hand with tech troubles, and lively community socials in between. Attracting and retaining top talent is a key priority, which is why Clockwise places immense importance on nurturing its employees. The company is guided by a set of core values, invests in professional development, and prioritises personal wellbeing.

This accolade reinforces Clockwise’s commitment to an engaging employee experience. We foster innovation and meaningful impact by creating an exceptional workplace.
