We have all experienced that dreaded 3pm slump during our busy working days.
With August being National Wellbeing Month, let’s take this opportunity to explore Clockwise’s approach to helping you avoid that familiar afternoon fatigue in healthier ways than reaching for those sugary snacks and energy drinks.
Workspaces designed for wellbeing
All Clockwise locations prioritise great design focusing on productivity, creativity and wellbeing. Our flexible workspaces are not just aesthetically pleasing, they are specifically designed with various features to support mental and physical health. We ensure that daylight is maximised and indoor air quality is optimal, with natural materials and plants adding to the freshness and vibrancy. We carefully curate great art, often from local artists, to provide further visual stimulation that helps to keep our members feeling engaged and inspired throughout the day.
Hydration and healthy food options are essential to keep energy up during the workday too. We provide complimentary refreshments in our kitchenettes and meeting rooms, as well as a range of healthy food and drink options available to purchase in our onsite Two Hands Cafés. Our breakout spaces are great places to take a break from your work, which can really help to refresh your brain and renew focus for the afternoon. Several of our locations offer great roof terraces, giving our members the perfect spot to grab some fresh air or a few minutes of sunshine throughout the day.
Incorporating physical activity throughout the day is essential to help combat fatigue. When a short stroll to the kitchenettes or breakrooms isn’t enough, why not try a walk, run, or bike ride to help boost your energy levels? Clockwise has bike storage and showers at each location, so you can work up a sweat knowing that you can freshen up for that important afternoon meeting.
Fatigue beating locations
Our 17 locations across the UK and mainland Europe all offer unique surroundings that can help to maintain energy and wellbeing. Whether it’s a stroll through Exeter’s lovely Northernhay Gardens, a spot of retail therapy in Belfast’s buzzing St George’s Market, or a moment of artistic contemplation in The Hague’s iconic Panorama Mesdag museum, each location is strategically situated in an area with plenty of cultural and green options nearby that can provide a refreshing break from your desk. Take a look at our Location pages, which showcase highlights of each area for further inspiration.
Energy boosting communities
Being part of a thriving workplace community can be a great way to boost wellbeing and maintain energy. Clockwise gives all members access to a networking portal to facilitate connection and collaboration with other entrepreneurs and businesses in each location. To further support thriving coworking communities, the support teams at each location arrange bespoke programmes of events designed to inspire personal and professional growth, providing a further opportunity to connect with other members using the space too.
